O'Faolàin Academy of Irish Dance
A New Experience in Irish Dance Where Tradition Meets Innovation
The O’Faoláin Academy of Irish Dance, established in 2007, provides classical Irish dance instruction for children and adults in St. Louis, Missouri Metro-area. We offer a structured, goal-oriented, competitive program that presents Irish dance as both sport and art in an environment that is highly disciplined, yet nurturing. Our award-winning dancers have received recognition at the local, regional, national, and internationals levels, and have performed with such highly-acclaimed artists as Leahy, Eileen Ivers, Liz Carroll, and Andy Cooney.
Jennifer O’Faoláin-Bartley, T.C. R. G. is the Director and Head Instructor of the Academy. She received her certification from An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha in Dublin, Ireland and is currently pursuing her A.D.C. R.G. designation, the highest diploma awarded in Irish dance. Ms. O’Faoláin-Bartley, herself a Champion dancer, has won many awards at the highest level of competition, both in the USA and in Ireland. She is an accomplished choreographer as well, and travels to Ireland several times each year in order to bring her students the freshest ideas and skills for the competitive edge.

Students at the O’Faoláin Academy come from all areas of Metro-St. Louis and nearby Illinois. While many students hail from Irish backgrounds, many more do not. One need not be Irish to participate. Our dancers range in experience from brand-new beginners to internationally ranked champions. Boys and girls, as well as men and women are welcome. It is to be noted that our program is one of a very select few to offer specialized instruction for preschoolers as well as adults. Because we teach our students to love Irish dance, O’Faoláin Academy dancers are happy dancers.
